The greenery has given way to sand,
As far as I can see is barren land,
But my heart still feels like a ship at bay,
Coz I am thinking of you, sitting thousand miles away,
Its the festive season, and a family meet
Everyone rejoicing at the dholak's beat.
But I remain so silent, I have nothing to say
Coz I am thinking of you, sitting thousand miles away
Hundreds & thousands people pass by
Some are expressive, and others are shy
I try to search you in the faces I see each day,
Coz I am thinking of you, sitting thousand miles away
I started counting days back, since the time I wished you bye
I wanted to stay back for one more day; yes I did try!
I now wish to came back soon... Hey!
